On SATURDAY 20 & SUNDAY 21 MAY, a great day has been planned for the celebration of the tenth annual Pyrmont Art Prize. This year the event will be held in Pirrama Park at the old Police Water site on the panoramic foreshore of Sydney Harbour, at the end of Harris Street, Pyrmont. This exciting venue has recently been converted for public use by the City of Sydney.

The day will feature over 300 new artworks on display for the prestigious PYRMONT ART PRIZE, with thousands of $ in prizes to be won. Official guest speakers and prominent judges have been invited, and a People’s Choice Award will also be presented from the attending public.

Live music and unique performances are always a special feature of the Festival. This year the festival will include street theatre and local talented musicians who will perform all day on stage. This event presented in conjunction with the Pyrmont Festival’s – Mudgee wine & food in Pirrama Park. Tickle your taste buds with unique gourmet cuisine and local produce direct from Mudgee. Bring your picnic rug and choose from a diverse range of cuisines for lunch and try some of the 120 wines from 30 of Mudgee regions top winemakers.

All artists are invited to enter the art prize, whether they are well known or not and artists are invited to create an art piece for public display and sale. This popular art event has been well attended by the community in past years, and many beautiful, original artworks may be purchased on the day.

All artworks must be 12’x12’ in size. Canvases can be picked up from TAP Gallery; 259 Riley St Surry Hills, or you can supply your own canvas. Please not all works must be unframed, on stretched canvas.

LOCAL LEGENDS ST O’DONNELL CELEBRATE THEIR FIRST BIRTHDAY

Sydney based collective St. O’Donnell celebrate 1 whole year of bringing together; artists, musicians and both local and international creatives. In celebration of this momentous occasion the St O’Donnell crew are doing what they do best and curating a week-long birthday concept store and events for themselves and their friends.

Located at Surry Hills ‘Tap’ Gallery – The Concept Store by day and events by night will feature; local clothing brands and artists and will be transformed on opening/closing night into a glorious groove house – Join St O’Donnell in celebration and support >cytotec online us your local creative scene.

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY ART PRIZE 2017

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2017, Women on Boards will award first prize for The International Women’s Day ART PRIZE at TAP Gallery on Wednesday 8th March. The International Womens Day Art Prize is now in its 8th year. Last year saw more than 150 entries in all media and the winner was selected by guest judges. Also included was a people’s choice award inviting the attending public to vote for their favourite work on the evening.

“It was an honour to have my print chosen from the diverse and interesting works entered for the WOB International Women’s Day Art Prize. As a part-time print-maker who juggles a passion for print-making with full-time employment, I was thrilled to win the prize” said Kirsten McDonald, winner of the 2010 award.

TAP Gallery is calling for artists to enter the 2017 WOB INTERNATIONAL WOMENS ART PRIZE.

 “We are passionate >cytotec online without prescription about the progression of women in all walks of life and it’s for this reason we have set up this annual prize” said Ruth Medd, Chair, Women on Boards.

Women on Boards is the leading advocate for improving gender diversity on Australian boards and work to improve women’s access to, and opportunities to be selected for, board positions in all sectors.

The prize has an open theme allowing female artists to freely express themselves in all mediums & genres.

We invite the public to attend on Wednesday 8th March 6pm at Tap Gallery when the winner will be presented with their award.
