The  mobile phone photos in this showcase exhibition were submitted to the competition “Picture Postcode 2010″, an event on the program of the Oxford Arts Festival. Images were sought to depict the vibrant urban villages of Darlinghurst and Surry Hills; its people, characters, lifestyle, urban landscapes, pets and anything else that caught the imagination, and the moment, via mobile phone camera.

The people behind the photos are often as colourful and interesting as their images, and the results highlight the creativity inherent to this postcode; with its art schools, galleries, performance venues and plethora of creative services.
